First thing we explore the Grampians national park, we head straight up to Boroka Lookout to see the township of Halls Gap from above. Don't worry no walking is involved as the lookout point is right near the car parking - grab a great photo of the town below before we drive back down the mountain. Learn all about the Grampians, history and the region before making your way to Great Western, to the heart of the wine village. Learning the art of the swirl, sniff and slurp from your expert wine guide while on the bus, before trying out the wines in the cellar door.
Our first stop is Best’s Wines, Great Western. Arriving in their historic cellar door known as ‘The Stables’. It is an amazing experience from the moment you step in the door, enjoy the beautiful red gum tasting room. Wines available for tasting include Best’s current range. Enjoy wandering around the 155+ year-old vineyard. Opportunity to peek into the past, discovering their underground cellar, guided tour plus time to explore on your own.
Next location is one of a few vineyards we have here in the Grampians, based on availability we may visit Grampians Estate, AT Richardson vineyard, Pomonal estate or Fallen Giants vineyards. All offering a selection of hero regional wines plus a few "not as common" varieties to try. These locally produced and made wines are award winning and have great stories behind how they came about.
Your last location will be Paper Rock Scissors Brew Co. here you will be guided into their brewing room and a short tour to hear about what makes these beers very tasty and extremely popular, especially with the locals. Followed by a light lunch (several options to choose from, please notify us in advance of any dietary requirements) and of course a beer or your choice, OR a local wine of white, rose or red.
From here you will be dropped back at your designated location or left at there brewery to relax if you are in walking distance to your accommodation this is a perfect way to finish the tour.
